      The process of bench flashing the ECU for the GR Corolla is very easy, safe and simple. We do not need to open the ECU. We simply connect a female plug to the ECU that provides an OBD connection direct to the ECU and this allows the Ecutek software to flash and license your ECU all in one step. The flash license will be permanently stored in your ECU and allows for life-time tuning with Ecutek software. This means once PhoneFlash or end-user Laptop flashing is available, you will be able to receive tune updates and other enhancements that come from the ongoing Ecutek development for this platform. Please keep in mind that tune updates and PhoneFlash support will have additional costs, but you will not need to purchase a new license for your ECU as that is part of this service. If you wish to return your ECU to stock, you can do that by shipping your ECU back to us or flash it to stock in person when that ability comes out.
