BMW has come out with a reflash update (7/19) for their newer cars that will prevent OBD programming. For DME with firmware newer than 7/19, it will require a bench unlock. Click here for bench unlock service if your DME requires it (Which is 99% of all BMW DME presently). Build date has nothing to do with your DME firmware that is presently on it.
